Criteria to pursue Medical, Paramedical Program in Nepal
Recently, a change in the policy has been made where all the medical pursuant should appear & get through Common Entrance Exam (CEE) to be able to study MBBS, Dental, Nursing and other Paramedical courses.
Based on the results of CEE, students with passing marks can enroll in their respective institutions. However, the student willing to study abroad should also obtain passing marks.
Total Seats in Nepal for Medical and Paramedical
Provision regarding in selection for scholarship Quota
Government of Nepal in accordance with rule 20 of National Medical examination rules, 55% of total scholarship seats for gradation are vacant and 45% seats were won from the competition.
Scholarship seats will be distributed on the basis of following percentages:
- Women - 33%33% (Considering 33% scholarship seats as a 100 %, 3% seats are for Dalit and 2% for Muslim women)
- Dalit 9%
- Tribal tribes 15%
- Khash Arya 17%
- Madhesi 12% (i.e 12% =100% *3% for Madhesi Dait)
- Tharu 4%
- Muslim 2%
- Disabled person 2%
- Families of Martyrs, Families of missing person
- Families of wounded warriors and conflict victims 2%
- Person From backward areas 4%
Note: In the reserved seat from community school from class 6 to secondary level candidate, who have pass the SCL/SEE examination, if they are not present then the student from any other secondary school in Nepal will get opportunities.
If Dalit women and Muslim community women are not available then the reserves seat will be provided to any other community women.

Selection Criteria
- •Less than 50 percentile marks in CEE exam are not eligible for Medical study.
- •One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Previous pass percentage about total result:
- •Total number of pass students 6669 who secured marks more than 58.25.
