Students are provided with various types of scholarship awards, grants, or bursaries to finance their education by the government of Canada and many institutions. The primary criteria for most scholarships is a good academic score, however it also depends on factors such as your chosen destination, subject and level. Some scholarships can also be sought on the basis of like extracurricular activities. The amount of money available and type of award varies between the various institutions

There are different types of scholarships based on the area of interest-

  • Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan.
  • National Research Council of Canada (NRCC)
  • Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program.
  • Quebec Provincial Government Scholarship.
  • Ontario Trillium Scholarship.

What are the documents required to apply for scholarships in Canada?

  • Completed scholarship application form.
  • Copy of your academic transcripts/diplomas.
  • Copy of your passport/ID.
  • Statement of purpose or letter of motivation.
  • Recommendation letter.
  • Test score (like SAT, ACT, GRE, GPA)
